Using Windows Live Writer
December 23rd, 2006 · Posted in Technical, Applications ·This is my first test of using Windows Live Writer (beta) to compose an entry for the blog. It makes editing a blog post much easier than using the normal WordPress editor. Essentially, Windows Live Writer is a desktop application that lets you create your post in WYSIWYG fashion (with the ability to insert pictures, do creative layouts, etc.). It is much easier to use than the html format of most blog editors and it works with virtually all blog hosts. In my case, I have WordPress installed on several blogs, including my class blogs, my research blog, and my edProgress blog. If this works well, it will make it much easier for me to create and post entries. I’ll report back here when I have had a chance to put it through its paces.
